Today, Power quality is a $200B problem. 7 out of 10 equipment failure of unknown causes are suspected to be due to power quality. At the same time, U.S. electricity demand is skyrocketing, with projections of 2–3× demands on the grid by 2050.

U.S. industries are “patching” power quality issues. You have unsustainable system redundancy with several back up generators in case one fails.
